Annecy
One of the most beautiful and popular resort towns of the French Alps.  Its most picturesque part lies at the foot of castle hill, with a warren of lanes, passages and arcaded buildings. All the houses support railings overflowing with geraniums and petunias.

And this town was just a lunch stop! We were so lucky to be able to spend a few hours.  I liked this place so much that I thought it deserved its own page.

April, Mom and I walked around and picked a nice little restaurant along the canal and had some pizza and house white wine.  It was such a charming day.
After gathering at the meeting point, William surprised us with a lake cruise.  Annecy is so pretty and it was really nice to actually get out on the water and see all the chateaus around the lake.  We even saw packs of hang gliders in the sky and I wondered how they didn't run into each other.

At the end of the lake Peter picked us up and then we were off to Chamonix.  What an awesome bus day!
